He graduated from Boston University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree in 1993 from the prestigious New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts.

In 1993 he was admitted to practice as a lawyer in Connecticut. At that point, he began working for various firms in the state, gaining valuable experience in many areas of the law, including: labor and employment law, real estate law, landlord tenant law, business law, divorce law, wills and estates, personal injury, criminal defense, and litigation.
